Lisa Shu

Dr Lisa Shu is a Venture Partner at Deep Science Ventures and the founding Executive Director of the Newton Venture Program. Newton, a collaboration between London Business School and LocalGlobe VC, provides inclusive investor training across the global venture ecosystem. To date, Newton has trained over 3,000 practising venture capitalists and emerging managers worldwide. A trusted board advisor to early-stage startups, Lisa spent ten years as a professor at London Business School, where she taught the MBA Negotiations course—turning thousands of reluctant negotiators into confident deal architects. She is passionate about empowering deep-tech experts to bridge the gap from PhD research to VC-scale impact, bringing scientific innovation to market. Lisa earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior & Psychology from Harvard Business School.
