Tina Redshaw

International Engagement Manager (Wildfowl & Wetland Trust/WWT)

Tina is the International Engagement Manager for the UK’s pre-eminent Wetlands Conservation charity. In her global role, she is tasked with leading her team to build capacity of wetland conservationists world-wide through an online learning platform and in person training in communications, capacity-building, education, participation and Awareness-raising, and facilitates training in wetland site monitoring and management. Before joining WWT, Tina had a long and distinguished diplomatic career. She was the first female British Ambassador to Cambodia 2018–2022, and previously only the second British Ambassador to Timor-Leste following independence (2003–2007). She twice served in the British Embassy in Beijing, and as British Consul-General to South West China in Chongqing. She re-established the British Consulate-General in Perth in 2023, and was briefly Acting High Commissioner in Tonga in early 2024. Tina has also worked as Deputy Head of Climate Change and Energy, and in both the China and Southeast Asia departments of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
