Natasha Burroughs
Senior Civil Servant, Office for Investment, Department for International Trade, UK Government
Natasha specialises in securing investment and partnerships from global investors and companies to drive green growth, with experience across the private sector, UK government and start ups.
She is one of the first Senior Civil Servant to join the Office for Investment, a joint Number 10-Department for International Trade unit led by Lord Grimstone that seeks to secure strategic investments into the UK. Previously, she held roles in the Cabinet Office and DIT, where she led the department’s relationship with the world’s largest family-owned businesses to drive inward investment.
Natasha has 7 years of private sector experience at Tesco plc, holding various roles in Corporate and Legal Affairs, and more recently as Director of Partnerships and PR at The Conduit, a membership impact organisation, where she led corporate partnerships and investor relations, liaising with companies such as Unilever, Julius Baer, Johnson & Johnson, AXA and L’Oreal.
She is a volunteer Strategic Advisor for the Oxford Net Zero Initiative (based at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment) and was nominated for the Asian Women of Achievement Award for Public Service in 2018.
She is a proud Londoner with Italian, Indian and English heritage, and fluent in Italian.
